Infographic charting the popularity of dog breeds against our data score. This was derived from a formula based on several factors including intelligence, number of genetic ailments and ease of grooming. You could call it a dogorithm, though I never would.
This one got plenty of Internet traction, including reprints at Slate and Mail Online, plus several emails from dog lovers upset that we'd called their breed dumb. (Sorry - the intelligence score is based on a dog's ranking compared to other dogs, so it's quite literally all relative.)
